Jack Swan- “Loner” (Single Review)

Jack Swan- “Loner” (Single Review)

Upcoming artist Jack Swan has let us into the darkest crevices of his mind in his spectacular single “Loner”. Through an eventful three minutes and 56 seconds, the young artist pours out his heart in such a mournful way over his self-produced score that masterfully complements his every action. While sometimes the overuse of autotune makes his pain sounds a little too robotic or artificial, his drowned-out vocals convey evident proof of suffering. As solid as the writing and emotion pushed across through Jack’s vocals are, where this track really shines in the production department due to its synth-heavy, psychedelic instrumental. Especially seen in the chilling sonic playout at the end, Swan’s ability to create an absolute hell-storm through synths is marvelous, and honesty sounds good enough to be on a Travis Scott record or come from the hands of Mike Dean. Overall, the raw emotion pushed throughout “Longer”s entirety makes it worth checking out, but what really makes it a memorable piece of art is its intoxicating production that shows just how important instrumentals are to music. Overall be sure to check Jack Swan out and follow him on Instagram @theswanny
