Diplomats member Jim Jones is back with a new album entirely produced by renowned producer Harry Fraud titled The Fraud Department. Over the course of eleven tracks, the New York natives create a feature-filled experience that is action-packed between its rapid changes in both tone and subject matter. Jones truly showcases how far he’s come as an MC as he’s able to rap about anything from partying at a club to sleeping with a gun next to him. Behind the boards, Fraud’s production is quite amazing with his creative soundscapes that highlight his niche to anchor rapid alterations in the mood from moment to moment. When it comes to hip hop albums I’ve heard this year, there’s hardly any more passionate and well-produced than this.
